Active ingredient: Ciprofloxacin 500
Ciflox contains the active ingredient Ciprofloxacin, which belongs to the Fluoroquinolone family. It works by inhibiting the enzyme DNA gyrase. Ciflox is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, and others. This medication should be used with caution in the elderly because it increases the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture.
Uses:
- Used to treat respiratory infections such as pneumonia and sinusitis, as well as middle ear infections and skin and soft tissue infections.
- Used to treat urinary tract infections such as cystitis, as well as pus formation in the urine and syphilis infections.
- Also used to treat prostate infections and gonorrhea. The medication treats joint and bone infections and prevents infections after surgical operations.
- Used to treat diarrhea caused by typhoid fever infection.
Contraindications:
- The medication is prohibited for people allergic to any of its components.
- Its use is completely prohibited in children under 18 years.
- Used with caution in patients with neurological disorders or those prone to seizures.
- The medication should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding because it may cause joint damage in the fetus, and it may be excreted in breast milk and harm the baby. Therefore, it should be avoided or breastfeeding should be stopped until the treatment is finished.
